The launching ceremony of Yutong’s electrocoating technology of bus body was held in Yutong Industrial Park, Zhengzhou on Apr. 15, 2009. The relevant leaders of Zhengzhou municipal government, experts of China’s bus industry, users as well as the news media attended the event.

This technology has adopted the most advanced machines and equipments of electrophoresis coating in the world. They, on the one hand, fulfill the requirements of different bus structures on electrophoresis coating; on the other hand, realize full-line automation during the electrophoresis coating process, thus ensuring the even coating and stable quality of the technology. With special mixture ratio of imported chemicals, the phosphatization effect can be guaranteed while treating aluminium, iron, zinc, etc. at the same time. The test pieces coated with electrophoresis process can withstand the salt spray test for over 1000 hours, 4 times of those with traditional painting. Meanwhile, the production capacity of the electrophoresis coating line reaches 33,000 units per year and different bus bodies with length up to 14 m can be coated.                      

The electrophoresis coating technology of bus body, together with the electrophoresis coating technology of chassis framework which had been put into use before, formed a sound technology of electrophoresis coating for Yutong’s large and medium-sized buses, which symbolizes that the coating efficiency, coating quality as well as the anti-corrosion capability of Yutong buses has been greatly improved.
