Yutong’s prototype for Macedonia City Bus Project passes inspection
Recently, the first prototype for Macedonia City Bus Project rolled off the assembly line. Mile Janakieski, Macedonian minister of Transport and Communications, as well as Macedonian certification authority, operation companies and media representatives, attended the inspection ceremony. They were warmly welcome by Niu Bo, General Manger of Yutong. The minister was very satisfied with the prototype and said “The vehicle you produced is exact what we want. You did a good job.”

Accompanied by Wang Feng, vice president of Yutong, and related Yutong technical personnel, the minister and his entourage got on the prototype bus and made a trial ride around Yutong plant, experiencing the performances of the vehicle. After the inspection, the minister and the Macedonian technical personnel were content with the performances of the prototype. They found the choice of the Macedonian government is correct and Yutong buses are the representative of high quality and high-tech. The double decker produced by Yutong meets the requirements of the European standards and is in compliance with the local laws and regulations, and can serve the public transport of Macedonia.

Niu extended a warm welcome to the Macedonian delegation and attended the press conference together with the minister, communicating issues and answering questions on the development of the project with different media from Macedonia.


It is learned the agreement of 202-unit double deckers was signed with Macedonian ministry of Transport and Communications on April 14, 2010, becoming the biggest order of the company in Europe. The order is also the amount ever of Macedonian government investment. The smooth end of the inspection symbolized the project officially entering into the phase of batch production.
