Wan Gang, vice chairman of CPPCC and minister of Science and Technology, and his entourage inspected Yutong while conducting investigation on the technical innovation work of Henan province on October 25, 2013.

Accompanied by Tang Yuxiang, president of Yutong Group, Wan and his entourage visited the electrocoating workshop and final assembly workshop No. 3 of Yutong new energy bus plant. During the visit, Tang introduced the development and application, technical innovation and market expansion status of Yutong new energy buses.

At the electrocoating workshop, Wan carefully listened to the detailed introduction on the manufacturing process, production capacity, anti-corrosion performance and so on. At the final assembly workshop No. 3, Wan boarded several new energy buses like ZK6141BEV1 and ZK6120CHEVNPG3, and asked about the information of vehicle mileage, overall power performance of vehicles, energy-saving rate, core technology and so on.

In addition, Wan also inspected the key technical equipments of SuperCap and whole vehicle control. After hearing the report conducted by the staff, Wan highly praised the achievements made by Yutong in terms of the independent innovation work and encouraged Yutong to continuously strengthen the construction of independent innovation system, give full play to its advantages in technological innovation area and enhance the rapid development of new energy bus industry.

At the show bus area, Wan took a close look at the school buses, business purpose vehicles and recreational vehicles self-developed by Yutong. At the end of the visit, Tang presented a model new energy city bus to Wan as a souvenir.
